taken this morning, all "edits" done within camera raw - no cloning or messing with levels outside of this. I did split-tone with red in camera raw though.

Pretty sweet light this morning smile

I like the second one a lot.

The first looks a little washed out.

The water tower is very flat - the sun had gone in at that point, which was a bit of a disappointment 'cause when it's side-lit it really helps describe the contours etc - can look great. I sold more than 40 black and white prints @ £15 each of a shot I took of the water tower with a film camera - can be quite profitable smile So, that one is a bit crap, but otherwise I'm quite pleased with them.

via a local fair, and local shop - local to the tower.

Edit: more in depth answer:

I deliberately targetted people who would be interested in the image. I printed up 40 odd, got them mounted nicely at a cost of £2 each by a local framing shop, and then sold them in an "art exhibition" being held as part of a local fair, and via the local village shop. The people who would be interested are most likely to visit both these places, so I very quickly sold out - in fact I could have sold more tbh. I was quite tempted to do a series of similar images and hold a photography exhibition with prints @ 12" x 10" or perhaps slightly bigger (the images sold were 10.5" x 8.5" IIRC) as one-off signed etc - at a higher price. Sell 15 photos out of an exhibition of 40, for £100 each and it's worthwhile doing it - you could do one exhibition a week and almost make a living wink (soon run out of villages close enough to home though)
