Good Day:

Succeeded in booking our holiday at long last. The missus has been chasing several companies for weeks to get an accurate quote and booking - we had been quoted, for the sake or argument, X pounds initially. That we're still waiting for confirmation of from Virgin holidays - 3 weeks later - my wife has called them 5 times now - hopeless (it stems from having too many children - their systems can't cope with it). So we went to a local travel agent, who managed to quote us 5/6 X - a substantial saving. The lady dealing with it couldn't get confirmation of one hotel's availability though, so we had to wait overnight to get confirmation, by which time the quote "hadn't saved" and went up to 11/10 X - haithinknot. Apparently the cost of the flights went up by 4 figures overnight. Ho hum. So I had a look last night on BA.com - got flights for 1/2 price quoted by virgin & travel agents - including internal flights that we need from Aberdeen. Total cost of holiday bought entirely via ba.com = less than 2/3 X = a substantial amount of dollars for spending money big grin big grin Plus managed to upgrade the hotels within that costing smile

Bad Day:

PC is fubar'd. No suitable replacement parts available locally, relying on scan computers to send up a replacement bit overnight but meantime without my PC and forced to use over-heating laptop that runs like a stone-age thing.

Good Week :: Bad Week

Good Day: Finally got all of my furniture into new house, waited for a year to live here. Apt looks great. Enrolled at uni, start later this month classes daily from 8am to 12pm, work in the afternoon, easy life. Everything is great!

Bad Day: Mrs. teh Troll says shes going to back to visit her parents and spend a few weeks with them before we get married again on Oct 6th, I very sincerely offer to pay for her plane tickets which she takes as a great offense, she thinks I want rid of her (I do! dont!) and has a big moody fit.

Women, eh?

Nah, her parents and very, very very large family live up by the Mongol-Russian border, they couldnt all come to the wedding in Qingdao and all of our friends couldnt go to the wedding 'op north.

So we've organised 3 weddings, Qingdao, Manchuria, UK.

S'all right, three lots of gifts, innit.

Good Day : It's Friday, the weekend starts here plus off to a party this evening
Bad Day : Can't drink at the party as designated driver... (well it's not that bad, but it's all I could think of!)

Oh well, thank yourselves lucky you're not Kate McCann.

Good Day: Family Holiday by the pool in the sun, making a million quid, spending lots of time travelling Europe

Bad Day: Losing your kid, 4 months late, getting arrested for bashing her head in and hiding the body.
