My mates site appears to not exist on NTL, however I can see it on the work network. FTP doesn't work from NTL either (I also have NTL at home).

Any ideas why this would happen - is it the ISP or the host, and what can I do to resolve it?

The email still works mind.
TIA

It's probably a corrupt DNS issue. Had it a few times with NTL and plenty with clients on BT. Have you tried to go to your site via the IP? What usually happens is that the server has 'lost' where the domain name points to so assumes it doesn't point anywhere. Alternatively when NTL sent their bots out to cache sites your site happened to be offline so it assumes it's offline until the next update (which unfortunately can be a week).

If your site is online then it's not a hosting issue. However you'll have a tough job convincing support at NTL to reset their cache. I can remember someone calling BT asking for this and it took him 20+ minutes to get someone on the phone who actually knew what 'IP' was.

Ah yeah sorry, should have put the URL www.talmages.com can anyone see it? cos I can't

Sent a general request to NTL about it, not calling them as they want 25p or 50p a minute for the privelege and I ain't gonna! Not holding my breath though...

Yes it does, it says account suspended - I take it thats not the direct site as it's a shared IP, so it is as I thought, NTL - wheres Dev when you need him?

I'll give it a few days and see what happens - thanks for the checks and the help guys and gals!
