Let's say I wanted my church to appear in the sponsored listings whenever someone searched for the JWs how would I do that in Google Adwords?

The sponsored listings, ie the ones at the top above the free ones? You'd pay more or get more clicks on the ad wink The top 2 or 3 sponsored listings are merely the top 2 or 3 adwords listings, and of course with adwords the more you pay per click or the more clicks you get (a good combo of both in other words) the higher up the list you go.

That's it, keywords!

I had a total blank there. Thanks.

It's been so long since I've tinkered with this stuff!

Anyways, next up, say I wanted to find out what phrases people used to locate Royal Holloway College on Google, how would I do it?

No way of knowing without seeing the College's referrer stats, but you can take an educated guess with the AdWords Keyword Suggest tool and this:

So this SEO copywriter walks into a bar, grill, pub, public house, Irish bar, bartender, drinks, beer, wine, liquor...

Beware my weird, cross-dressing comment's; they are pretty standard examples of trolling.
