Got my first paying gig this weekend. It's the Laffik Show, a local equestrian event. The event photographer has been so kind as to allow me to join him, he's been looking for togs for a while and has only just started out on his own. Although it's a trial basis any shots I take and that sell, I'll get commission on. I'm not expecting to earn much at all, I'm mainly there to learn the ropes.

Brilliant stuff mate! I wouldn't worry about the amount of money, it's more about the portfolio - make sure that he gives you usage rights for your shots.

Well today's event has been cancelled because of bad weather. I'm disappointed but I'm pencilled in for September.

Well my first paying gig went really well. Taking pictures of Trixy riding a pony is easy so long as you get the horses legs in the right position and any horse portraits have to horses ears up and pointing forward. Now the event I was at wasn't very big at all but i still earned £50.

I'm working next weekend too.   biggrin
