HI All,
I am still using my old Gericom P4 3.0gGHz 60GB 512MB laptop which I bought a few years ago from Aldi. But the battery is feeble. Totally cr*p in fact so it'd put me off buying one from aldi again, and it wasn't that cheap at the time either. Anyway, my rant is over... anyone got any recommendations, something with higher spec than the present model.

Cheers
Andy

What's your budget and how is your laptop used (mobile or mainly desktop?).

Personally I can't fault Dell. My last laptop lasted 4.5 years of serious usage and the only reason I replaced it was because it was blowing overly hot air. My latest Dell is the D420 12.1" screen, around £900 and it flies (well as far as I'm concerned it does!). It's perfect for mobility as it's as light as anything and the size of A4. Of course for desk work I have it in a port replicator and a 20" monitor wink  Buy from Dell Business (as opposed to the home side) and you'll get a business account manager which will help with support if you need it.

Hi Sarah,
Thinking around £500 but really depends on what I find to be honest. I will use it mainly desktop but also lap when I can.... the present machine fries my legs tbh. Dell sounds good....

Cheers
