What's your budget and how is your laptop used (mobile or mainly desktop?).
Personally I can't fault Dell. My last laptop lasted 4.5 years of serious usage and the only reason I replaced it was because it was blowing overly hot air. My latest Dell is the D420 12.1" screen, around £900 and it flies (well as far as I'm concerned it does!). It's perfect for mobility as it's as light as anything and the size of A4. Of course for desk work I have it in a port replicator and a 20" monitor
Buy from Dell Business (as opposed to the home side) and you'll get a business account manager which will help with support if you need it.
