icWalesHEARD the one about the Government agency that treats white Welsh people as an ethnic minority?
It emerged yesterday that the Environment Agency is attempting to address the under-representation of ethnic minorities – including non-English white people – in its Anglia region of England.
An advertisement for a training scheme for the Agency’s flood management programme, which comes with a £13,000-a-year grant, encourages applications from “White other” – Irish, Welsh, Scottish and European – as well as other, more conventional minority groups.
I wonder if anyone has used the Freedom of Information act to look at the ethnic breakdown of the CRE?
This sort of thing is getting silly and is providing some serious ammunition to groups like the BNP.
