Can you have a look at http://fordi.es/g2 in firefox please?

It's a little site I'm working on for a mate. Apparently he's seeing the layout break in firefox, but I can't recreate it crybaby. I'm assuming it has something to do with FF not liking the HTML5 elements I've used.  If you can see the broken version I'd be grateful for any suggestions for a fix smile

TIA

Looks OK to me in (old-ass) 4.0.1 But please add some padding.

FF6.0 & 9.01 looks ok - apart from the padding - video on the front page and text etc. on the internal pages bang up to the edge.

I'm running 9.0.1 and it seems OK to me.

The only thing I saw is that there's a lot of white space between the Met Office thing and the photo stream object.

Thanks. OK, so no one's seeing this?

I'll look at the padding. It's a WIP

FF 9.0.1 - Looks good.

I'd look at the header image though. IMO it needs to be brighter/more contrast and perhaps a bit more warmth.
Nothing wrong with the image it's self, but the grey/blue clouds in the sky gives me a feel of riding on a cold, dark, overcast morning that's threatening to pee down any time. I like the silhouette, but I'd brighten the sky and warm it up so it gives the impression of the start to a warm enjoyable day full of promise.

Great post Jon! I have been following the effort since you started it, and although I have understood its purpose this post does a really great job solidifying the full rationale.

FF 8.0.1 - no left padding is an issue for main content on pages other than the home page.

Funnily enough I'm doing a mountain bike tours cycling site this morning...

Are all those who checked using Windows? Maybe get someone to check on a Mac to see if it's an FF/Mac only issue?

Apparently it was on Mac & Windows. I've never been able to recreate it.

Do they have noscript or some adblocking software?

I'm starting to wonder if it's a plug in issue
