New offer from Google (Adsense)

Sup guys,
Here's the situation, many years ago I used to have an Adsense account that was disabled by Google for unusual click activity. Anyway since then I and a mate have setup a youtube channel and we've just got the email saying we might be able to earn money.
With my previous record count against us if we apply for adsense using my details? My mate already has an active account and has just been mate a partner for his personal channel, would it be better to use his details to increase our chance of success?

The same thing happened to me a few years ago, and I just signed up with a new email address I think. Everything works fine even to this day, but I'm not sure if I had to specify a different website when I signed up again, which might be a problem if you're hoping to use AdSense on the same website that your banned account used...
