Monthly Competition #27

Theme: your best of the month

Entries must have been taken during the month of June, 2011. The deadline for entering is 07 July, giving an additional week to get last gasp entries in. Each entrant can post one image only. Please ensure that images are posted at a maximum of 500px along any edge.

Please number your entry; if you're the first entrant then please tag it as #1. Please number subsequent entries sequentially from the previous entry. (Using the topic reply numbers hasn't worked out.)

If hosting your images on Flickr you can get the BB Code for forum posting by going to the Flickr photo page and selecting "Grab the BBCode" from the "Share this" options (button immediately above the photo). Then make sure that medium 500 is selected and the BBCode radio button checked to get the correct BB Code to copy (it'll include a tagline code snippet too which you can delete).

When voting please reference the posted entry number to identify your choices.

Thanks and good luck!

Dammit, I've been so busy over the last couple of weeks I forgot about this one.

With only 3 entries I'm inclined to extend the deadline to encourage a few more, but I'll leave it up to the three of you to decide.

Cheers. So, unless Rutty disagrees, we'll extend the deadline for entries until the 20th (photos should still have been taken during June).

That isn't the cobb down at Lyme, Family, that is just some fancy stuff to cover up the sewage treatment works which runs a pipe out into Lyme bay, the cobb is the harbour wall that runs round and is a big drop on one side and you can walk along the top, though I wouldn't recommend doing that in January, camping out on the beach in August is a good laugh though.

You're right, my mistake. I thought it was a bit smelly down that end.

I've been on holiday but have no objections at all. Are we OK to add more than one?

You can on the themed comps, but not on the best of the month ones (with the idea being you'll only have one best IYSWIM)

Great post Jon! I have been following the effort since you started it, and although I have understood its purpose this post does a really great job solidifying the full rationale.

Did you delete the image from your blog, or do you have hotlink protection on Marge?

I can't see it in any browser.

I think you have hotlink protection enabled. If you're not sure how to give this domain permission ask your host (Escuba?) to update it for you.

Right I've disabled the hotlink protection and now, hopefully, it should work OK ... if not, count me out for now and I shall have another go next month when things should be sorted.

Right, as it's my birthday today *ahem* I shall go and decorate the cake!  banana
