Hmm, seems interesting. Especially the part about it being "charityware" (never heard of that).

Were we not upgrading to Visual Web Developer 2011 (or whatever it's called) at some point, I'd have been tempted to try it out for myself.

Read the help, try it out a few times, and then don't think about it. Your fingers will work it out. You may find yourself occasionally typing :w or something into other programs, but that goes away after a while.

When you need to do something painfully dull like move the current paragraph before the previous (dap2{p) or underline a heading in a plain text file (YpVr-), it is worth learning.

You can do silly stuff to make typing easier which seems to make up most of my .vimrc, eg:

inoreab <silent> ne !=
inoremap ,t $this->
inoremap 9 (
inoremap 0 )
inoremap ( 9
inoremap ) 0

etc, to save wearing out my shift key.

I'm an idiot. Not a dick.

Edit: That was about the beard and sandals. Hate both of them things. Also not too keen on that Jesus fella.

It was indeed a scouring powder.  I never liked it, far too abrasive
