Apple Magic Trackpad

Has anyone got a magic trackpad? I'm thinking of getting one to replace the mouse on the  iMac (mainly used by Mrs F for web browsing & music)  because

a) it has a broken scroll nipple and
b ) it doesn't work too well on the glass desk

Any thoughts on the trackpad?
