I doubt it. I thought Plasmas were a thing of the past apart from the biggest screens - that said I havent looked since we got ours!

Just bought a 42" Panasonic plasma from Amazon on the basis of reviews. Less than £500. A few years ago we bought a Sony LED flat screen and we paid over £1k. So I suppose thats progress.

Yes, the sony would now also be less than £500. Remember when your beloved CRTs tellies were so expensive you got them repaired when they broke down. Now TVs are affordable enough that they go to the tip and get replaced.

My 42" LED was £430, so I don't think plasmas are any cheaper. I don't often see plasma TVs being sold these days tbh.
