This is a real 'forum dad' question:

Has anyone had experience of or can recommend a decent power washer? Tesco seem to have a few http://direct.tesco.com/q/N.1999180.aspx but the cheaper end (I was hoping to pay about a hundred quid) seem a bit flimsy.

Apart from cleaning the car it's main job will be to clean up all the patio slabs and get the green moss off the conservatory which descends from above every year. It takes me a whole day with a brush so blasting it with a pressure thing instead would be very satisfying.

Thanks.

I have a budget one which is quite good it does the job. I use it to clean up the block paving and crazy paving on our terrace.

You do have to be careful with them I managed to strip some of the chrome off the grill of my old Jag with one.

Thanks, the Halfords site has some honest reviews so good for a bit of honest feedback on the Karcher models.

Oooh thanks Kim yes those prices are good, the one I was looking at is £40 cheaper on there plus I can get 5% off via Quidco.

Great stuff, I think I'll have one of those!

Bugger they've put the price back up again...I thought that was good until the end of the month. My own fault for dithering...
