I am trying to get back into After effects and I am playing aorund with a few ideas to get used to it again.
One thing i cannot remember how to do was to rotate an object in 3d.

I want to be able to have say a square which moves around a central point and moves into view.

Anyone here use After effects?

yep. Have you:

a) got a 3D object inside After Effects
b) made it a 3D layer

Bear in mind that any solid layers you create in After Effects are paper-thin - they have no z-space. You could create a cube by creating 6 layers, making them 3D and rotating each to align with the others into a cube shape, but my best advice if you need to go back to basics is to go read Creative Cow, Video CoPilot or get a book!

Loose adj a not held together; not fastened or firmly fixed in place
Lose verb to misplace something. To fail to keep or obtain something, especially because of a mistake, carelessness, etc.
