I meant to post on Friday, but I forgot. And now I'm having a catastrophe of a Monday.

Also, 'catastrophe' is my word of the month.

Just looked around a local school for IE6. Looked pretty good, looking at another this afternoon. The Head suddenly perked up and was keen to have IE6 as a pupil when he found out I build websites for a living as theirs is 'under construction' and the school's keen on 'parent participation'.

Offer them four tables. Five if the class size is small enough.

Had quite a good day today - I've actually had 4 pieces of cake, a record for me.

The first two I got (a nice apple turnover thing, then later a special muffin) where presented to me by the company bods I was training this morning, then when I got home the inlaws turned up with Nanas Apple Crumble Cake, which is almost the nicest cake in the world and it would have been rude not to have any. And I had another bit after my tea tonight.

We're expecting a pile of snow here over the weekend. Last time we were snowed in for 6 weeks so we're stocking up with crisps today.

Good, you don't want to ever have to dip into your emergency crisp rations.

I did last night - several packets of Quavers bit the dust and I'm eyeing up some cheesy Wotsits for breakfast.

Yes, remember it! It's Wotsits FIRST, and then Quavers.

Also, I'm glad it's Friday again. This week went by quickly.

Saturday evening. Steve Junior at his grandparents for the weekend. Dangerously low on crisps and alcohol. Shop is 1km away, no biggie. I'll just check how cold it is. Damn. Minus 22.

Don't worry though, I is a stone cold hero. Junior's sledge was put to good use.

About 4 inches of snow here, despite this mornings local weather forecast promising that 'it won't really settle and any that does will be washed away by rain in the afternoon'.

I HATE weather forecasters, they nver, ever, get it right for this area, even when they're telling us WHAT THE CURRENT WEATHER IS LIKE. Still, there's plenty of crisps and eggnog in.

Opened my coffin this morning, after a weekend of precisely zero fresh air, and found a strange white substance covering the floor. After cleaning that up and going outside I saw that it'd had been snowing - snow day!

But no, the six or so inches of snow didn't stop me getting to work, so here I am in a warm office, not paying for the heating.

Snow's gone here, I think this is the first time in the history of the Universe that Mid Wales has been warmer than South East England.
