Well in a final blaze of glory, it seems a load of us got blocked on twitter by Dan Oliver after someone else called him a rude name. I won't lose any sleep over it though.

Looks like I didnt get blocked. Because he likes me, we're like best buds So I checked the forum, forwards you to the 'new and improved' netmag website. And who do you see on the front page staring into your eyes? The mastermind behind it all! Andy Clarke

Try following him. You can unfollow after. I won't sleep at night knowing that Dan thinks I called him a fanny.

They gave us an hours notice before closing it down. Well, they said an hour. Turned out to be 25 hours, but still.
They didn't really give a reason for closing it down, other than they wanted "discussions" to be focussed more on the topics covered in the mag rather than on how poo Mondays are, for example. I'm not sure where these discussions are going to happen now, mind you.

Ah, the halcyon days when I was the whippersnapper jumping ship with the rest of you to talk utter shite on here... looking at it today, should I now be moving into a more of a Paul Bilton role? Apart form the book writing, amateur dramatics, and well travelled bon-viveur bit - yes! I see what you mean! Who was "e-merge"?

I noticed with the new site (yeah I signed up beta, heh) when I logged in yesterday I get a profile... and I can comment on articles I think, so I think, lots of thinking going on here (not f*rting) that, that might be your new forum. I think it's nicer in here Plenty of cuddlies.

So everyone continuing with subscriptions then? I cancelled mine a few years ago, found I wasn't reading them, and money more worthwhile going to my XBOXLive subscription...

Haha, you nerd. I cancelled my subscription about two years ago I think. I only ever read them on the train up to my GF's house, but then she dumped me horribly, scarring me for life, and I never found the time to read them after that. They made great firewood the other week though. The council weren't too happy, and someone's shed went up in flames, but they're always kicking footballs over our fence so I didn't care.

My subscription never went through. The interwebs (and possibly NoScript) saved me from wasting my cash. Although I do still have that issue where one of my tutorials was referenced by an expert

Was pointed in the direction of DDN years ago, by a friend we all know and miss, oh and I think Hurri did recommend it too. Couldn't into net forums (fora) and contatced them a few times with no response, started a new profile and probably used it twice. DDN was always that bit more friendly, and on a par, if not a bt better and quicker, in responding to my inane pleas for assistance.... Oh and I still have a lot of old old mags dating back years....

I replaced the location of my netmag bookmark with this forum.
Sucks to be this forum I guess.
I never bought a single issue of the magazine.
