Urgent Mouse Help Please (sorted now thanks)

Hi ... All was working fine and then for no apparent reason my mouse clicking failed .... I can move it no problem and for eg if it rolls over a button it highlights, however when I click or double click .. nothing !!!   I can right click and open from the submenu but that's about it .....

It's a wireless mouse and keyboard which I've had a few years with no probs and both have had batteries in the last couple of days or so.

If you can help that would be great as I need to get on with some work.

ah think I may have resolved it .. a bit of brute force slamming it on the desk seems to have resolved it .. probably a bit of pizza got stuck in it
