My second monitor has died. It was a Viewsonic 21" 4:3 LCD I've had for about 6 years.

My main screen has a resolution of 2560 x 1440 and is 27", and I have no intention of buying something quite that big, but 1920 x 1080 at a minimum would be good. Maybe 24"?

I found some apparently good ones on eBuyer, but it's been such a long time since I looked for a monitor I have no idea where to start - recommendations please!

TIA

Quite fancy something LED backlit, to reduce power consumption. I also wouldn't mind USB ports.

We have two Dell 25" screens in the office from an old employee who was partially sighted and they are belting, so much so my boss just bought one for his home pc and according to his research they have better resolution/refresh and colour representation than the lovely apple cinema displays, although granted the Dell monitors don't look as nice on your desk as the apple ones.
