Author Topic: Copies of websites, after they're removed  (Read 792 times)

I'm in the midst of a spat with an organisation that duplicated the content of one of my websites. I've since escalated the complaint, which could get them into serious hot water, and now discover they're claiming their site never existed and that they've taken it down to hide the evidence.

Fortunately I made a copy of a couple of the sections of the site, a quick search on Google brings up links (and screen previews) of the main sections of the site, Waybackmachine has a copy of one of the pages and even the design company that built the site still has it featured in their portfolio.

Is there anything else I can do to make back up evidence? Is there a way of saving the Google search results for example before they disappear? I'm really looking for something 'watertight' that will prove it existed.

Thanks.

Thanks for the suggestions  smile

Owing to the appalling coding the site wasn't picked up by search engines properly, so doesn't look like it was properly indexed, but I've got enough ammo for now.

Thanks again.
