Afternoon all.

I posted this question on twitter then thought it was a good question for this 'ol place (smile) where I have turned into a bit of a lurker. Sad

I currently use UltraMon (the trial which I reinstall every 30 days!) to manage dual screens at work. Before I look to purchase a license, can any of you recommend a (free) alternative to UltraMon?

One of the key points for me is being able to throw a window across monitors at the click of a button.

Thanks, Granty.

Unless I'm needing a translation, can't you just do that anyway without 3rd party software?

WTBS.

I have two screens on this PC without any 3rd party software - just Windows 7.

I think he means to have 2 wallpapers (1 on each screen)?

I installed DisplayFusion today which seems to do the job. You can also do the same with Active Desktop but I always find that it crashes.

Just to clarifly.. I can move windows between screens by dragging them. What's nice about UltraMon (that I don't seem to get with the graphics card drivers) is that it provides a button to the left of Minimize, Maximise, Close to shift the window across, for example.

I've been using http://www.mediachance.com/free/multimon.htm

Why not just register the software you are already using? If it's that useful, it's worth the registration price.
