Just got back from a few days in Dumfries and spent most of the time out and about taking photos. I realise my camera is pretty basic now but that could be a good thing for a novice like me Tongue  Got a few good shots (IMO) more can be found on http://www.flickr.com/photos/sarahg29/

The largest Waterfall in Scotland (I touched the colours up a little in Photoshop as the light was pretty naff)

Thanks Britman. I had a closer one but I lost the top of the tentacles of the butterfly (I presume that's the one you meant?) so it turned out not as good simply because of that. I was lucky the butterfly was sitting there and didn't move for the few minutes I was there, gave me a chance to try out different distances for the macro.
