Can anyone recommend a lightbox plugin for the latest version of Wordpress? I've tried about 4 so far and none of them seem to work

Thanks smile

We've used shadowbox for a client (as he requested that particular plugin). Works fine in WP3 (but we couldn't get it working offline on our local server, only online, so not sure if that may be a solution for you if you're not working online?)

Usually I just load thickbox that comes with WP and then all you need to do is add 'class="thickbox"' to any link/image you want to open into the lightbox.

Thanks Sarah. I like the sound of the Thickbox option, is it possible to use this with the built in WP Gallery feature, so gallery images on a page automatically pick it up?

I've got Lightbox Plus to work with single images, haven't worked out how to make this work with galleries though.

[update] Got it sorted now - Lightbox Plus does the job!

Good to hear. But in answer to your question, if the gallery images on a page don't auto get the thickbox and gallery settings it can be added to be done automatically via a bit of PHP smile

I tried adding the thickbox class but it wasn't picking it up, could be my theme messing it up though. This plugin seems to do the job, though it's a bit of a fancy pants. It's only a cheap as chips job though so I'm not going to break out into too much of a sweat for it smile

I wasn't sure if WP would auto add it but I'm guessing not. You can just filter the gallery output code to auto add it but if you've found a plugin that does it then I wouldn't worry smile
