Hi All,
I've found myself doing a fair bit of IT repair- normally for friends and family its not a problem doing a job verbally but im finding more friends of friends and strangers wanting work done on their home pc's/laptops.

Ive had a look but cant find any UK sites offering contract templates and such ... i'd like to present an invoice and perhaps guarantee the workmanship for a month and input details of the warranty on items i've replaced ... for example I just replaced a laptop screen that has a 12 week warranty and a laptop keyboard that has 1 month warranty. I'm also looking for a contract to get customers to sign that lets me sell their equipment if i do the work and they disappear without paying and picking it up, if such a thing is allowed?

Any links and recco's would be great smile

A contract I found put people off, I have a job sheet which has our business Terms and conditions on the rear and I just give 30 days warranty then refer them to the manufacturer or deal with them directly myself.

I buy my pads off ebay, and they are NCR (duplicates)

Also get insurance.

Hi Matt,
I have insurances etc, im not too bothered if joe public is put off. Maybe its not a contract im after but as you said terms and conditions but it would be ideal to lay the ground rules and on occasion I would rather take a deposit.

Do you know any websites where i can get t's & c's?

You can use mine, but they are not the full ones, just a rough outline on my site, www.mattian.co.uk - if you need more I can send you the form.
