Hi All,

I am in touch with someone who is interested in recruiting a programmer either as a full time member of staff or as a freelancer as long as the individual can give the company a chunk of their time. It is a company with an existing site in OsCom. I have requested more info on the specifics but the info I have is listed below.

They've said:

We have loads of ideas about how we want to

    •    improve the website for customers, making it quicker, easier, more fun
    •    add new features to the site
    •    make things easier for us to administer

plus we have heaps (and heaps!) of new projects that we want to put into action.

But we can't do all of that without another programming whiz to help us to make it happen.

We have a very open mind about the working relationship.  If people work for themselves or freelance that's fine... just as long as they can dedicate a chunk of time to working for us.

Our struggle has been in finding quality programmers - hence my email plea

They have asked if I could find someone with the following:

That whiz will be an expert in PHP, MySQL and JavaScript, as well as CSS and HMTL.  If they are hot at AJAX then that’s a bonus.  And if they are well versed in OSCommerce or its derivatives such as Zen Cart Or CRELoaded then that’s even better

If interested please get in touch with me and I will pass on your details either to freelance or as a potential full time position.

Cheers

I'll get there eventually....
Additional info just received... anyway it's open to offer if anyone is interested I can send their details.

We are looking for specifically the PHP/MySQL/Javascript programming side at the moment.

We've tried a number of programmers over the years and sadly none of them have been ideal for what we've needed... so there is the legacy of lots of PHP and Javascript coding which, while it doesn't cause issues for customers, hampers us in site development behind the scenes.

So first off we are looking for someone to address this situation, whilst adding in new features both for customers and behind the scenes.  And then we're looking for someone to potentially transport the site to a new platform... CRELoaded or Magento for example.
