Robbie (the OP) said he and the missus were getting iPhones, what did he need to know. To be told they were overpriced and useless etc etc. I doubt is what he was after. A useful reply of what type, size/capacity, things to consider, network, contract type / costs, 3GS vs the new one etc. is probably the type of response he was looking for. I'm not sure if he's actually seen the thread he's started!

Yep, I've seen it. Although I got the advice I wanted on page 1, so I kind of skimmed through the rest :-)

Matt's point was how did you create your MP3s on your computer in the first place?
- Bought online
- Ripped from a CD, you need a CD->MP3 ripper
- Recorded on the computer - presumably you need an MP3 encoder? (wouldn't know, never done it)

All of the above. The reason I asked about a Line In is because it's easier to record an MP3 straight to an MP3 player (or a phone, as the case may be) than it is to record a Line In signal on my PC, encode to MP3, then transfer onto the player (or phone). Figured I could cut out the middle-man if the phone had a Line In (like my MP3 player does).

Tesco are offering 12 months Iphone 4 contracts: http://www.tescomobilepaymonthly.com/iphone-deals/

Just got one of these myself - apparently the first (and only) one they'd had delivered for 3 weeks and I got it within an hour of it being in the store big grin
