HI all quick video question.

I want to add a short clip onto a website and I wondered now with HTML 5 what the best method was to show it?
It is a client's own video so it is not on any website like youtube. usually in the past i would simply drop it into a flash player and use an image as a fallback.
Should i stick with this do you think or do you think i should try and use <video> tags ?
Can you mix xhtml and HTML 5 elements or is it only safe to use the video tags if the actual document is HTML 5?
I think it would be good but not necessary for those on an iPad to see the video.

What are your thoughts?

I thought they hadn't finalised the standard for HTML5 video as there's an open-source issue with H.264. However, it seems to be the way to go...
