Hi all,

Here's the challenge!

Go to this site http://www.bittersuiteband.com/music_uk-no1-hits-singles.htm and find the record that was number one on the day you were born.

Once you've done that, go and make a photo of it.

After that, go to http://www.flickr.com/groups/ddn/discuss/72157623315289409/ and post it into the thread.

And then you will be in with a chance of winning the much venerated DDN Photo Comp!

Simple!  biggrin

Hmm,

I'm gonna find that difficult. Why?

Well according to the site you linked to the song that was number 1 when I was born was Little Jimmy Osmond 'Long Haired Lover From Liverpool'. I don't live near Liverpool, my wife doesnt come from Liverpool and she doesnt have long hair. However the trouble is that this song wasn't number 1 when I was born. It was in fact another song which has even greater problems for me photographically speaking. The song is Chuck Berry's - "My Ding-A-Ling"  ohmy I don't own a macro lens  wink1

For a complete list of number 1's try http://www.everyhit.com/dates/

We can be flexible and accept either the single or album number one from your year if it helps. But I'm sure you could come up with something for either of those songs anyway smile

As there's only a few entries, and we haven't been given the next theme yet either, I think we should extend this for another month ... what do you think?

Actually we have got the next theme, I just didn't notice the post on Flickr.

So I'll get that one running and give it a 2 month deadline to allow for this one to be extended (if we do extend it).

I set aside some bread in the garage to go mouldy for my entry. It's been so cold the bread hasn't actually grown more than a tiny bit of mould despite being out fo nearly a month now. So the extension would be helpful.

I actually bought that single.

I can't believe I've just admitted that. I was very very young.
