Hi all,

I have a site that gets a few hit on it nothing major but id like to have a look at monetising it.
I currently have text link ads on it which bring in a few dollars (literally a few)

I am interested in selling adverts on the side like so many blogs out there but how do they do it?
Is there an affiliate site that sets this up or is it literally done by myself and I just set up a page for pricing etc?

Any other suggestions?

I've been using Affiliate Future - but to be honest despite plenty of hits on the ads the return so far isn't very impressive. When I get a chance I'm looking to switch to Affiliate Window http://www.affiliatewindow.com/ as they have more 'high street' advertisers on their books.

Apart from that I feature Google Adsense and Amazon Affiliates.

thanks I am not sure if i want to go down the full affiliate route or not. I did dabble with trade doubler a while back but it was an effort to sort out. then again maybe i should just do it!

When their control panel's working Affiliate Future ads are really easy to set up, and I really like the way you can add them to your website. However, I'm not confident in the accuracy of their reporting. For example my software is registering a lot more ad hits than their reports are, and I'm suspicious about the absence of any sales. Support have sent several replies to me admitting their admin has been knackered, and I do wonder if this is an excuse to 'lose' sales.

I'd recommend Amazon and Google - easy to set up and add to the page, though don't expect a massive return.

If you're in a specialised field, and you're known in the space, then just get on the dog and pitch 'em - you'll get far more than what click-thru's and contextuals pay.

Definitely, and I'd do the same for my site if I had the time.

Just been approached by a marketing company who want to feature their clients ads on our site, which will pay more in a single month than we get from Amazon and Google combined for the whole year!
