Can anyone recommend a free penguin based script that will backup a MySQL DB either to the webspace or ideally to another FTP server ?
TIA

Do you mean called via Cron? If you do I always use
http://www.dwalker.co.uk/phpmysqlautobackup/
, send one backup to GMail, others to other FTP server.

I use this after eventually figuring out how to set it up! Get an email of all the Databases I use to a Gmail account every Saturday night, and it rotates backups directly on the server as well.
