Hi

I am developing a new site.

I wanted to use the jsquery droppy menu.

On the basic pages its working fine

http://www.veecreate.co.uk/clients/test1/dentist-in-derby.htm

On the portfolio pages I am also using shadowbox to open a video in a pop up window.

On these pages I seem to get a "trail" effect when a drop doen has come down and goes back up - it disappears if another link is moused over.

http://www.veecreate.co.uk/clients/test1/case1.htm

Also weirdly it does not seem to happen all the time.

Any ideas greatfully recived.

Cheers

Vee

Hi Vee

I'm not seeing the issue at all, no matter how aggressive I get with mouseovers - seems to be working fine.

I can't replicate it either.

however, do you realise that your navigation doesn't work at all with javascript turned off? that's not good for accessibility! you've got #nav ul set to display: none in your stylesheet. it would be better to use jquery to apply the display: none; on document.ready & use the sons of suckerfish method as a fallback.

Hi guys,

Thanks for that.

I'll definitely look at the problem if js is turned off.

Glad you can't see the "trail" problem - I quite like the menu but need to sort that js off issue

cheers

I have had a quick look at this and as my js skills are non -existant and I have too much on to spend loads of time researching this I have swapped back to Sams drop down menu which I have used for ages and works really well and is accessible smile

http://www.veecreate.co.uk/clients/test1/dentist-in-derby.htm

and

http://www.veecreate.co.uk/clients/test1/case1.htm

However I have left the droppy menu on a test page here - does anyone fancy quoting to make this script display nicely when js is switched off to make it accessible? PM me if you are interested. I do quite like the drop down effect on this but it would need to be accessible.

There will be a text nav at the foot of the page but I don't know if that would be enough.

Any other suggestions gratefully received.

Cheers

Anyone see any browser or other issues with this
