Is there an adaptor to plug two ethernet jobbies into one data port - e.g. have a phone and a computer plugged into the same network socket?

Got some out the back you can have when you pop down or I can get them up to you before.

Scooby - The issue with that splitter is it's designed for 2 x Ethernet, not 1 x Ethernet and 1 x Voice. It will depend whether it's analogue voice (which Adam's is) or digital. You could use one of those if you made you're own leads up though to compensate for the wires used.
