Have I missed a thread that gives a background on what the hell you're talking about?

I think the down on one knee approach is quite common. I'm not able to talk from experience though.

Mr Anderson managed to convince Sarah so ask him how he did it.

I took no convincing Tongue

And as the thread is in the business related forum I'm guessing Slee means business proposals, quotes, contracts etc. perhaps? Ts and Cs even?

But yeah, Lee, you may need to pad your original question out a bit! wink

Sorry Sarah, I knew Lee meant business as I noticed he'd posted in 'Anything Business Related' but as soon as I saw proposals I thought of you and Dave.

For a moment you almost had him married off! Why have you no experience? I thought you were married?

Lee - just make sure you cover any possibilities. Think back to issues that have cropped up eg. a client delaying work and causing a knock on effect for you. A client moving the goal posts once you've started work etc. if you host and use an off the shelf script mention that the script will need to be kept up to date with security releases etc. your contract will continually change. I use other people's experiences and client problems to give me more ideas for ours!

Basically make sure you list exactly what they're getting for their money, so there's no haggling halfway through, and you're not responsble for the site content or anything that goes wrong after the job is signed off.

the proposal as in how to structure the quote? Have you still got that one I did last year for that cake site? That's how I do mine (although the ts and cs have updated a bit since).

Oh and also what net-curtains said smile
