Modern car names

Aren't they crap? Gone are the days of brutish tags like Mustang and Charger, now we get Nissan Qashqai and Kia Cee'd (what's the apostrophe for?). Are the manufacturers trying to baffle people into buying them by giving their cars girlie/foreign/confusing names?
Pity I missed the focus group. I would have sat at the back making disapproving fart noises, and occasionally muttering the word 'bol
loc
ks' under my breath.

My bus is called Mabel, and personality-wise she
is in her 80's wears a purple hat, smokes a pipe and wears hobnail boots. Quite a batty old bird really.

My old one was called Max, because I'm so
inventive. Names for my new one include "Wolf," "The Tank" and "Come on you swine..."

Im really tempted to buy the Roewe from SAIC - its basically the MG Rover 75 longwheel base with a 2.5 V6 engine under the lid, plus the car was dragged into 2007 with various updates.
The trouble is, the cars chinese name - its Rong Wei, pronounced Wrong Way.
Oh well, Ill just save up the 50k USD for the 2.7 Chrysler 300c.
Notorious MCSE,
