I need new software for the students I teach on an MA course. We have used DW up til now, bit there are licensing problems. Someone has suggested NVU - but I have no experience of it. Anyone used it?

Tell your students to unplug their network cables whilst DW is open wink

NVU isn't bad for beginners; I think development is very stagnant, unfortunately.

Do you have to teach is a WYSIWYG environment?  Coding in something like HTMLKit and previewing in browsers might be more beneficial.

So this SEO copywriter walks into a bar, grill, pub, public house, Irish bar, bartender, drinks, beer, wine, liquor...

Both. Has to cater for absolute noobs who have no need to get too deeply into code, and those already have some knowledge, or want to get into it. That's why DW was so useful. HTMLKit is fien for the second group, but too much of a (possibly unnecessary) learning curve for the first.

Thanks though

Haven't used it for a while but it would certainly be a good free tool to teach html.

CSS dialog used to drive me nuts in NVU, never did figure out how the bugger worked.
