Provider-one.net

I've been a bit concerned about their slowness in responding to support requests but today all my sites hosted with them are down (my older ones that are still on the purple squared server are fine). I've sent more support requests and have been on hold for ages and now all 4 of their phone numbers are unavailable ....
Don't suppose anyone has heard anything about this have they .. or where I can find any more info ... there's no 'news' on their site

Found your message whilst searching for information about Provider-one.net.
I've not been able to get any information directly from them, despite being a paid-up customer.
My hosting service with Provider-one.net failed recently without explanation for two weeks. Email, phone and postal queries went unanswered, and remain so. They are not completely inactive: contact phone numbers have disappeared from their website during that time, and they have been modifying my support requests (but not actually answering them!).
Obviously I'll be moving. Perhaps I was the last customer!?

Yeah they are awful .... I think the reason that you had problems is that they recently moved to new servers, giving (most) people less than 24 hours to make changes .. I had a few problems after but to be fair they have now rectified those. I have moved most of my sites to Clook though a few remain at provider-one purely because I haven't got round to moving them .. if it was a one stop process I'd have gone ages ago.
Their phone numbers were never answered anyway and most support requests took several days to be answered (if you were lucky) compare that to Clook who nearly always respond within a few minutes.
I had one problem ages ago that was urgent and had the same frustration as you ... I got it sorted by tracking down the director and ringing him at home .. he wasn't happy about it but I pointed out there would have been no need if anyone actually responded !!! I may have the number somewhere if you'd like it ;-)

I've always used
Xilo
* for my hosting. They seem friendly, have very little downtime (none that I can recall) and they offer support via phone, forums, tickets, and Twitter.

Not to mention between £3 and £100 for ever confirmed referral

Beware my weird, cross-dressing comment's; they are pretty standard examples of trolling.
