Any ideas or suggestions for the new forum? Post 'em here. Rather than dedicate a whole section we've decided to keep it to one thread and make it sticky.

This thread will be cleaned out from time to time, hopefully when we implement suggestions

Duplicate the breadcrumb links at the bottom

Okay dokey, for starters

- a 'Return to Top' link next to each post... like the arrow icon on IBF that activated a javascript scroll

- a 'Post new topic' link next to each forum in the board index, and next to the board name in active topics... basically duplicating the wee arrow that was on IBF

- replacement smilies, these ones are poo

Don't suggest photo bucket etc it's really too much hassle.

- keeping active topics alive for the entire session, rather than just until they have been read

- colour coding boards/sections in active topics (although this will be better implemented as part of the restyling, after the main modifications have been taken care of)

Goatses are everywhere so there's no need to upload them here. I take lots of photos but can't be arsed with photobucket, a simple upload would make life easier.

can`t yuo use a folder on one of your web hosting
accounts junior? Surely ftp-ing to that is easier than uploading here?

It would cock up my stats,
besides I like file up load it's easy and you don't have to fart about with other programs.

I'd like it to go one step further and group active topics by section. Sometimes post titles can be misleading and the section names
after the posts have varying position.

you mean the padding?  its set to
30px left and right so should be easy enough to change this to a percentage/em value

The 'moved' threads are a tad
annoying, "this thread has been moved too" etc - if it's been moved, surely we don't need a secondary redirect, just a waste of clicks - that post just lives
somewhere else as the forum isn't that big - shouldn't be hard to find!

That's down to whether the admin/mod decides to leave a link. It's an option when they move it. If someone has genuinely made a mistake I
tend to leave a link. If they're being an idiot or deliberately posting in a popular area rather than the correct one I don't.

The "tech stuff" forum seems a little redundent.
It says it's for some web stuff, but there's a web stuff forum right above it. It says it's for hardware, there's a hardware forum right below it...

The web above is more for the arty non-technical types.
The hardware part is clearly wrong and we'll have to take the person responsible outside and shoot them

The sports forum was
pretty dead TBH. Lump it in with gen disc - if people don`t want to read about sport they can always go to the next thread. Not set in stone (hey, none of this but we needed a
shakeup), but lets see what happens.

I haven't actually
done anything. Not sure if anyone else has
