Does anyone here have one of these? (They can run off mains, 12v battery or from gas)

I am planning my sailing week and am considering buying one to keep the Wine errr. . . Milk and butter cold.

Normal 12v cool boxes are fime but my car will not be used a great deal so I dont want to flatten the battery. I do have a 12v solar panel that is a trickle charger but that is to be used for other electrical eqipment. I dont believe in roughing it too much big grin

What about getting a small, quiet generator and running it off that when needs be?

Great post Jon! I have been following the effort since you started it, and although I have understood its purpose this post does a really great job solidifying the full rationale.
