Having just signed up for a Flickr Account, it seems limited in its use unless you pay the yearly fee. I have no objection to upgrading allowing me full use. However, do most people on here pay the $24.99 a year fee to take advantage, and is is worth it ?

Yes, and if you catch the pro account purchase/upgrade at the right time you can sometimes get 25% free as I did last year when I renewed.

But yes, £15 for unlimited storage space and bandwidth, per year, isn't bad really smile

Yup, it's definitely worth the money. I have over 4000 photos on there now smile

Not a pro member and have zero intention of doing so. Although I have an account I really dislike the site, the only reason I joined was so I could enter the comps on here.

Having said that, I guess £15 a year for unlimited storage is a decent deal.

Yeah I have a pro account but the main reason for me having it was because I could use it to power the gallery on my website and thanks to a plugin I could upload directly to flickr from Lightroom and automatically update my website at the same time. That combined with being able to share your photos with others makes it good value for money IMHO

It is well worth the money, I too use the flickr XML feed to power my galleries, it's nice not to pay for the BW & storage.
If you do buy the pro account and they offer you a couple of months free for a friend you can use them on your own account, i ended up with 15 months for the price of 12  wink1

Yep, I've upgraded.

Just out of interest, those who have tied their flickr accounts to a gallery, which gallery are you using?

I use the Flickr Photo Album plugin for Wordpress:

I've not spent any time trying to theme it though (although I really should)
