Appears our dishwasher is knackered. It doesn't clean, and even when it's 'off' and you close the door, it'll start a wash cycle. Have tried everything to get it working, but nada...

I'm guessing the electronics are knackered, but as it's at least 4-5 years old, I'd imagine we'll be better of investing in a new one, rather than spend the best part of £100 or so to get it fixed.

Recommendations for a new one please. It'll be replacing an integrated dishwasher, so not fussed how it looks, as i'll be wanting to put the cabinet door on the front.

Oh, and when Mrs Jee said 'The dishwasher's broken' and I replied 'Well give her a slap', that didn't go down to well.... wink

Our Bosch one is pretty good, although posting on here will undoubtedly lead to it breaking tonight when I get home Sad

yep. We've got a Bosch dishwasher and fridge. Both very good. When we broke the fridge door, even though they stopped making them Bosch got the factory to make a replacement bespoke for us - highly recommended.

Of no help to you..... but I absolutely hate dishwashers. I have no intention of owning one ever again. It's just so much hassle unloading/loading, adding tablets, adding salt, adding rinse aid, cost of electric, cost of buying the bloody thing....then it breaks down...plus you lose a 'space' in your kitchen .....by the time you've done that a bowl of hot water and a squirt of fairy liquid (approx 99p a month for me) will have dealt with the dirty dishes.  Tongue Cool

I see absolutely no advantage in owning one.

That is all.  bye1

My current dishwasher is a Bosch and it's fcuked. Its about 4 years old and won't heat the water, it gets stuck on the rinse cycle.

hth

However I would buy another one as I all my other white goods are Bosch and the dishwasher was good before it died.

I recommend the 'Mrs. S' brand. Very effective cleaning of dishes and fairly cost effective to run. And that model of dishwasher puts them away afterwards. And puts the food on them in the first place. Marvellous smile
