Have just got an Acer Aspire One or summat like that for one of the younger brood.
Comes with XP and what looks liek a MacAfee trial. Any suggestions on a free av solution? Are there ones suitable for these netbooks?

Then I'm sure it will be more than suitable for me.
In fact I installed it the other day on the family pc as AVG was getting silly with downloading each time you logged on etc.
Cheers

I'm trying AVG at the moment, after my bundled subscription to Norton expired. I've had to remove and re-install some software to get AVG to recognise and allow it. Might try avast soon!

You'll get it unless you've updated the software recently. It's the version going EOL.
