The wife has designed a poster for her uni course and needs to get it printed. She probably wants A3, maybe A2, in colour, and only 2 or 3 copies. At the moment it's on an A4 doc in Publisher using a clip art photo for the whole background.

What's the best way to get it done? I have no dealings with print at all.

Phone up your local printers and ask them. We once got one of Mr A's photos printed at Prontaprint in A3. They offered 2 A3s for £5. Considering the photo was A4 the quality was pretty good.
