I've just decided to get my first DSLR. Nothing fancy, but wanted something a bit more like a proper old blokeys camera. Anyway, THIS seemed like a good buy, especially with another £30 cash back. Should arrive tomorrow.  smile

This is the bit where you all line up to tell me what a pile of poo I`ve just bought......

It's a good camera, not being a D40/D40x means it doesn't suffer from not being able to autofocus certain lenses in the Nikon range. They make good cameras with great colour rendition (though a little warm on skin tones from what I've seen so bare that in mind), and there's very little between what's on offer at the entry and enthusiast levels from the major manufacturers these days.

That'll give you 3 days to get an entry in for the Urban Decay comp; you can make up the numbers - entries are a bit thin on the ground.

Good bits of kit by all accounts, you do realise that SLRs normally start the process of filling up your credit card if you ain't careful! wink

You could start offering photographic holidays - actually, thats not a bad idea y'know

Try Liverpool instead then. You'll be safe, everyone already seems to have a camera.

I've not played with a D60 but i have played with D40, D70 & D90 and they are all nice cameras, i'm sure you'll have a lot of fun with your new toy  smile

Oh and it is nice to get another Nikon owner on here, i think i'm the only one at the minute, pretty sure most people have gone the Canon route.
