Quote from the BBC web site

Quote
"This is a logo which took a year to design"

WTF were they doing for the other 525,599.5 minutes?

I do have to say that when Nottingham re-branded with the wonky N ( http://www.robinhood.info/images/brand_n.jpg ) there was a similar response but to be fair, they have done some interesting things with it when marketing events .. can't find a pic but for eg when the 20/20 cricket final was in Notts they had the bails coming off the stumps etc and managed to make it into an N shape and though it sounds awful, it really worked .... just can't see this one doing tehsame thing though .... kind of looks like  a cartoon explosion and apparently was inspired by the old Tiswas logo .. classy huh !

Sad outlook for design if that'll be fashionable in half a decade. It could just be a publicity stunt, although the PS3 logo looked like a pisstake for a while before they revealed that the Spider-Man 3 font was actually staying. :shakeshead:

The 2012 commitee know it's crap. That's why they've said it's a flexible design. They can't bring themselves to admit theyve coughed up ?400k for a TISWAS ripoff.

I bet they all have HDTV as well.
