At work one of our offices has it's own Broadband connection that is totally separate to the rest of the network.

As we now have a few laptops that have wi-fi and arn't normally connected to the office LAN we would like them to be able to share this broadband connection and that's where it gets confusing.

Our ISP is BTOpenworld which is ADSL. However when BT installed it they gave us a DSL modem  blink. The modem is a Intel Anypoint 3240 which only has 2 connections, one for phone (although it's not an actual phone lead more like the little leads that connect to the phone handset if you know what I mean - can't remember what they are called) and the other is a USB lead that connects to the computer. As it stands this all works perfectly with the computer it's currently connected to.

We now want to get a Wi-Fi router of some description but I'm at a total loss what to get.

All the routers I've found that have a built in modem are ADSL but as our existing modem is DSL (even though BTOpenworld says in all it's paperwork to us that it's ADSL) will that work?

All the DSL routers I've found don't have a built in DSL modem and none of them seem to have a USB connection to allow us to connect our existing DSL modem to anyway. Is there a DSL router with a USB input?

Any help as to what we actually need would be appreciated!

DSL and ADSL is the same thing. Get a router, throw your modem in the bin.

That's an RJ11

I was going to call BT, they are giving the home hubs away at the moment.

They'd have to.
