My forum has nearly 3000 members and I very rarely send out a mass mail. However, I have just done that. I now realise I have a good 300 members who have invalid email address's and have not logged on in years. What is the best way to prune these members down. Another reason is that most of these at some time have requested to be notified to certain topics and when the system does, it bounces back to me. I know I cant have any control other than asking them to keep their address up to date but wondered how others on here managed their forums with this problem.

I had to do member pruning at the beginning of the year on my (Invision Power Board) forum when I was sending out mass e-mails about re-branding of my forums. I went into 'Manage Members' and searched for members who had less than 1 post and for those who hadn't been active and/or posting between certain dates (mostly in the last 2-3 years). I figured that if they ever wanted to come back then they could just quickly register another account which would have a valid e-mail address.

Thats exactly the same issue I have. Mine too is also IPB. I have looked at doing what you say but it just gives me a number of users it will delete, not the opportunity to see who they were just in case. Im scared  laugh
