Has anyone any experiences of using the MobileMe software or is it a complete waste of money ?

It's a poor man's exchange. Costs about £70/year, gives you calendar, email, file share, photo storage across multiple platforms. Automatically syncs between PC, Mac, iPhone and any web enabled device through a rich DHTML interface. I reckon it's worth the money, but maybe less so if you already have exchange. Oh, and you're limited to @me.com or @mac.com email addresses (although you could always forward email from your domain and spoof outbound email to be from your domain.

Sam has pretty much summed it up perfectly.

I use the Mac backup software to backup folders on my laptop to the iDisk and the sync feature to sync my pc & mac contacts, iWeb is very basic as is the web gallery that iPhoto churns out.

I believe I can set up my phone to use the exchange service at work but they have never given me the details of log in etc. I obviously have my own log in but have no idea on the other settings to input ?

Going back to the exchange. Would the details and setting be relativley easy to guess from the work domain etc or would they likley to be totally different. ?

What settings is it asking for?

Depends if the autodiscover is turned on and config'd on your exchange server really.

It asks me for my email address and password which is fine, I know those, and then it asks for server details which is where I get stuck. I have tried the domain of my work in several combinations but without success. I have even tried exchange.domain.com but no luck. Its a 3G iphone I am setting up.
