New client wants to keep existing domain name but can't remember who hosts his current site. A whois search leads to clara.net nameservers. Is that it then? Is he simply on a clara.net hosting package? Or is there potentially more to it?

If you can get the IP address which the domain name resolves to, then reverse DNS it/IPWHOIS it you might get some useful info.
