Hello,

My missus was looking at photos on my Xd card from England etc.

Then the card become unreadable!

I attempted a format, on the PC, and in the camera with the idea of recovring the photos later but nothing works.

Is the card shagged, or can it be recovered using some app of some sort? The card in question is Olympus XD card 1gb M+ which is in my Fuji Fine Pix camera!

Try this
http://www.download.com/Art-Plus-Digital-Photo-Recovery/3000-12511_4-10513647.html?tag=lst-1&cdlPid=10778073
to get the photos off although formatting won't have helped.

As for using the card again, if you can't format it on the PC or the camera it's probably beyond saving.

I thought formatting it would make it accessible, and then easier to run the recovery software.

I think you're right, it may be buggered?

Always worked for me before, if you can't access the card though, you's knackered.

Once you get the data off the card, chuck it in the bin and never browse through pictures from a card on teh PC download them to the PC and view them from there
