.....has some nice shiny new features!

Connects with a load of IM protocols.

Has a plugin for some of the Nokia N range of phones.

Might be worth a look for some

Where's that tumbleweed image? wink

The problem for me would be it doesn't connect to skype which is the problem I have with all of the nice multiIM clients. Skype won't let them play and most of my clients and colleagues use skype.

Aye, tis a problem to a bigger take up.

Probably explains why Skype won't open up their network!

Does it work with USB phones (more than just a speaker and mic functionality) yet? That was the main reason for me choosing Skype over this.

I've got it, but don't use it due to having problems with their payment processors.

I've just taken another look and it seems their prices are quite high these days - Shame really 'cos I still think it's the better app, overall.

They take paypal now Mike. And they're cheaper than skype if I read the uk rates correctly.

I can't be doing with Paypal - Last time I looked, it took sommat like 9 days to transfer funds from my bank into it.

Whenever I get cash in it, I take it straight out in case the trigger-happy squad freeze the bleeder 'cos someone cried or whatever.

9 days in this day and age? I don't like Gizmo that much!

It takes a couple of minutes to make payments from a bank account via Paypal if you've verified the account and authorised DDs.

Is this a newish development then Mr A?

The A/c was verified yonks ago.

Saying that, I'm not sure I can be arsed anyway - The place wore out my patience years ago.

Possibly. I had my bank account verified years ago, but when I changed my card details a while back they unverified the bank account (instead of the CC - which seems retarded to me, but there you go). I eventually got around to reverifying it about a month or two ago, now I can make instant payments direct from my bank account rather than just the card. Same for just topping up the account IIRC.

The paypal account must have a verified bank account and an in-date cc attached. I purchased summat recently not realising me card had expired and Paypal started sending out an echeque which took over a week to clear.
